9s Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition "Yurika Horikawa - border≒00" from April 21, 2023 (Friday) to April 30, 2023 (Sunday).
Yurika Horikawa is a sculptor who has been presenting three-dimensional works based on her unique "O-chan" motif. The oopsies, which appear bright and gentle at first glance, are in fact connected to social issues and painful memories of the artist, and are also healing beings.
They do not embody what can be expressed in words, nor do they rehash past art. Horikawa's practice succeeds in creating solid value through careful observation of his own lived experience.
