Art Researcher / Manager

In this position, you will serve as a player-manager overseeing research on the art market, artists, and transaction data, while leading your team to maximize performance.
In addition to conducting hands-on work such as data collection, analysis, and reporting, you will take ownership of defining research strategies, improving workflows, and developing team members — building a strong information foundation that supports TRiCERA’s business growth.

Requested work content

・Execute and oversee research and analysis on the art market, auctions, and artist information
・Design research strategies and frameworks, including market trend analysis, competitor benchmarking, and utilization of customer data
・Manage the research team, including task planning, quality control, and member development
・Collaborate and share insights with other internal teams (Sales, Planning, Marketing, etc.)
・Prepare and supervise reports and sales materials based on research findings
・Promote improvements and standardization of research systems and databases
・Conduct on-site research at international art fairs and galleries, and analyze global information sources

Essential skill

・Minimum 3 years of practical experience in art, research, data analysis, or research consulting
 Experience in research, data analysis, or reporting—regardless of industry—is highly welcomed.
・Proven experience in developing and executing research strategies based on market trends and customer data
・Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
・Proficiency in data organization and analysis using tools such as Excel, Google Spreadsheets, and Notion

Preferential skills

・Experience as a team leader or manager (including member development, workflow management, and quality control)
・Degree in Fine Arts or Art History from a university or graduate school
・Possession of a museum curator qualification
・Skills in data analytics such as information processing or statistics
・Ability to conduct research, read materials, and communicate via email in English
・Experience researching international art fairs, galleries, or auction-related data
・Experience in systematization and process improvement, such as database development or establishing research structures
・Hands-on experience in problem identification and hypothesis testing based on logical thinking

Salary/Benefits

Full-time employee

Salary

Monthly Salary: ¥350,000 – ¥550,000 (includes 30 hours of fixed overtime pay)

Bonus: Performance-based bonus paid twice a year (based on personnel evaluation)
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and ability.

Work location

The Wall 3F, 4-2-4 Nishiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo

10 minutes walk from Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line or Hiroo Station on the Tokyo Metro Line.

Working hours

・Flextime system / Standard working hours: 8 hours (core time 11:00–15:00)
・Work location: On-site (office-based)
・Workdays: Monday to Friday
・May be required to work on weekends and public holidays when the gallery attached to the office is open
