Art Researcher

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the decision-making of the Sales and Planning teams through research and data analysis related to the global art market.
Your responsibilities will include researching auction records and artist backgrounds, as well as conducting on-site investigations of international galleries and art fairs.
You will gather, analyze, and organize accurate, high-value information from a global perspective, including English-language sources and overseas market data.

Requested work content

Research: Conduct research on past auction records and artist backgrounds using online resources and the company’s internal database
Field Research: Visit domestic and international art galleries and art fairs to study market trends and artwork tendencies
English Research: Collect and summarize information from English-language sources such as global media, databases, and reports
Report Creation: Prepare sales materials and internal reports based on collected data and insights
Support Tasks: Assist with data organization, project tracking, and general support for the research team

Essential skill

・Highly motivated to continuously learn about the contemporary art industry
・Possesses standard PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and solid IT literacy
 Tools used internally: Salesforce / Notion / Kintone / Slack

Preferential skills

・Holds a degree in Fine Arts or Art History from a university or graduate school
・Possesses a curator qualification (museum curator license)
・Has skills in data analytics such as information processing or statistics
・Business-level proficiency in English / Chinese / Korean

Salary/Benefits

Salary

Monthly Salary: ¥255,000 – ¥410,000 (includes 30 hours of fixed overtime pay)
Bonus: Performance-based bonus paid twice a year (based on personnel evaluation)
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and ability.

The Wall 3F, 4-2-4 Nishiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo

10 minutes walk from Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line or Hiroo Station on the Tokyo Metro Line.

Working hours

・Flextime system / Standard working hours: 8 hours (core time 11:00–15:00)
・Work location: On-site (office-based)
・Workdays: Monday to Friday
・May be required to work on weekends and public holidays when the gallery attached to the office is open
